I guess you all know by now that I love Beauty Heroes. I genuinely think that it’s the best beauty subscription service around, and it continues to wow me every month. I liked last month’s box, however, some of the products didn’t really suit my hair type, so I had my fingers crossed for this month’s box. I’m glad to report that this month’s box not only met my expectations, but far exceeded it. I love the products so much that I’d call it my favourite Beauty Heroes box so far (this is my fourth box).
This month’s box contains two products from Lilfox, a green beauty brand based in Miami . The hero product is their Jungle Glow Enzyme Cleanser + Mask and the sidekick is their newly-launched Cleopatra Restorative Milk + Honey Beauty Mask.
Jungle Glow Enzyme Cleanser + Mask:
This very unique product can be used as a cleanser, exfoliator or mask. I prefer to use it as a cleanser. The glossy brown paste contains cacao, maracuja oil, rosehip and white clay in a raw rainforest honey base. I like to use it on wet skin and massage it in for a minute or two before rinsing it off. The ground rosehip seeds provide gentle manual exfoliation, while the enzymes in the honey deep cleanse and slough off dead skin cells. It smells intoxicating, like an exotic honey/chocolate/orange dessert. In saying that, it’s not cloyingly sweet, the way some honey-based products can be. I like to use it as a morning cleanse, just before a shower, or as a second cleanse, after taking my day off with an oil cleanser.
My skin looks clear, calm and radiant after I use it. It plumps up the skin and imparts a ‘lit from within’ glow. Many products use the word ‘glow’ loosely, but Jungle Glow really delivers. I love the results from this product so much that I’ve been using it every single day since I got it. As you can see from my picture, I’ve made quite a dent in it, and I will definitely repurchase when I run out. This product will suit all skin types, including dull, congested and acne-prone.

Cleopatra Restorative Milk + Honey Beauty Mask:
This is a powder mask containing rose petals, coconut milk, honey, French rose clay, papaya, pineapple, camu camu and baobab. I like to mix this with Jungle Glow and some water for a decadent weekly treatment. The papaya and pineapple enzymes exfoliate the skin, while the French rose clay gently detoxifies. The mask assumes an orangey-pink colour when mixed with water and spreads evenly on the skin. Unlike many clay-based masks, it doesn’t dry my skin out. It leaves it soft and refreshed. I like to use my Black Chicken Face Mask Brush (best face mask brush ever) to apply it.
Overall, I’d highly recommend this box. The combined value of this box is $101 (USD), an amazing value considering a Beauty Heroes subscription is just around $39/month (USD).
I’d highly urge you to get this month’s box. It’s an amazing box for an amazing price (the next few Beauty Heroes boxes are going to be AMAZING, as well). Subscribe to Beauty Heroes here.
