Beauty Heroes February 2018 Review: Fitglow Beauty Cloud Comfort Cream & Redness Rescue Cream

Beauty Heroes consistently impress me with their carefully-curated beauty boxes, and this month’s discovery was no exception. The February Beauty Discovery contains two full-sized products from Fitglow, valued at a whopping $153 (you only pay $39). I’d heard great things about Fitglow from other bloggers, but I’d never tried anything from the brand. I’m so glad I got introduced to this brand because I have absolutely fallen in love with one of their selections, and I can’t wait to try more products from the brand. Both products featured in this month’s box are part of Fitglow’s ‘Calm’ range, designed, as the name indicates, to calm the skin and soothe redness. Without further delay, let’s explore the products.

Cloud Comfort Cream: This cream claims to nourish and protect stressed, irritated and red skin, and it feels very soothing on the skin. It’s called Cloud Comfort because it contains cloudberry extract to promote skin healing and renewal. It’s a medium-weight cream, and it would be an amazing choice for dry, sensitive skin types, especially in winter. For some reason, the ‘cloud’ made me think that it would also have a whipped, cloud-like consistency, but it has a more robust medium-weight texture. This is possibly due to the inclusion of shea butter, an ingredient that never agrees with my skin (regular use of ANY product containing shea butter, no matter how pure, breaks me out). Since I didn’t want to risk breakouts, I didn’t use this everyday, and reserved it for days when my skin was feeling extra dry and sensitive. Overall, I’d say it’s a great cream to prevent redness, but I’d use it with caution on acne-prone skin.

Redness Rescue Cream: I absolutely love this product, and although I’ve only been using it for just under a month, it has become one of my favourite daytime products. I can even see it becoming one of my holy grail products. Redness Rescue Cream has an unusual pistachio-green colour that corrects redness instantly. Having dark skin, I don’t suffer from rosacea, but I do have reddish post-acne marks and scars. This cream instantly evens out my skin tone and works like a correcting primer to refine the texture of my skin. I love the fluid consistency of this cream because it heals and perfects the skin without any heaviness. It works well under makeup and doesn’t pill or ball up. Regular use, I feel, has improved the overall texture of my skin, and I will definitely repurchase once I run out.

Final Thoughts: Based on my experience with these two products, I’m very impressed with Fitglow as a brand. The products feel hi-tech and  luxurious, and the pump packaging is hygienic and travel friendly. The textures of the products are very elegant, and they are definitely not rough around the edges like many other green brands. I’m glad I got introduced to this brand via Beauty Heroes, and I’d highly recommend subscribing to Beauty Heroes to discover this brand!
