Natural Deodorant Reviews: The search for the best natural deodorant continues…

I’ve mentioned time and time again how hard it is to find a natural deodorant that works. I’ve been testing a lot of natural deodorants on the Australian market, and here are my thoughts on some of the ones I’ve been using/testing lately:

Fresca Ocean Deodorant: This clear, all-natural, baking soda-free deodorant feels like a conventional deodorant that you’d buy at the supermarket, and it really works. I used it in summer, and while it didn’t keep me 100% odour free, it did a mighty fine job. Highly recommend this, and I’m not sure why it is more popular than it is. It’s definitely one of the better natural deodorants on the market, and I’m keen to try their other scents.

Price, Ingredients and Where to Buy: $15 (AUD), Fresca website.

Earth’s Purities Men’s Natural Deodorant: This is a stick deodorant encased in a cardboard tube. It smells and works really well, but the packaging lets it down. It needs some sort of a screw mechanism to hold the deodorant in place when you use it. Also, the texture of the product is too soft for it to hold its shape. Mine broke off after the first use and I ended up having to scoop it out like a deodorant paste.

Price, Ingredients and Where to Buy: $12.95 (AUD), Sassy Organics.

Mr. Pitts Natural Deodorant Paste For Man/Woman: This fresh-smellling deodorant paste is really great. It has a soft, whipped consistency, goes on smooth and doesn’t leave a residue. It contains baking soda, but it doesn’t irritate my skin, unlike some of the other baking soda deodorants I’ve tried. The packaging is cute and travel friendly. Big thumbs up.

Price, Ingredients and Where to Buy: $17.95 (AUD), Sassy Organics.

Earth’s Purities Nero Deodorant for Him: This liquid roll-on has a smooth texture and works very well. However, as much as I want to like it, I’m not a fan of its petitgrain/lemon myrtle/frankincense smell. I like these scents in isolation, but together with all the ingredients, it smells a little sharp and cumin-like to me (and lingers on my skin all day long). They do come in other scents; hopefully, one of the other scents works for me because it’s a good deodorant otherwise.

Price, Ingredients and Where to Buy: $12.95 (AUD), Sassy Organics.

Paudha Healing Natural Deodorant Paste Citrus Blend: This deodorant paste is effective and smells good, however, the consistency is a little coarse and scrub-like. It’s not as smooth, creamy and easy to spread as Mr. Pitts, which has a similar formula. Good deodorant, overall.

Price, Ingredients and Where to Buy: $17.00 (AUD), Paudha Healing.

Final Thoughts: I still haven’t found my HG deodorant, but I will definitely purchase/repurchase the ones from Fresca and Mr. Pitts. What is your favourite natural deodorant?

Thanks for the great feedback on my Fresca Natural Ocean Deodorant. I’m sure you will also like the Citrus Fresh and Wooden Spice scents that are very popular with the guys. They are all my hand made scents using only essential oils. I was featured on TV this week in Australia for my products.
