Boxwalla Secret Garden Beauty Box Review ft. H Is For Love Lip Glacé, Bara Balm and One Love Organics Love Springs Eternal

I know I’m late to the party considering this box is already sold out and the next box has been announced, but better late than never, right? So here goes:

Overall Impressions: I received this February box early March, and I have been using it on and off for the last few weeks. It’s a great box, and all it’s been getting a lot of love on Instagram. I really admire the contents of this box, but unfortunately, two out of the three products in this box didn’t work for me. Even though my personal experience with this particular box has been mixed, the quality of all the products in this box are outstanding and I’d highly recommend it overall.

One Love Organics Love Springs Eternal Youth Preservation Serum: This is my first-ever product from One Love Organics, and I love it. It’s a silky night-time serum with a soft jasmine scent. The texture of this serum is luxurious, and it layers well with other products. I definitely did notice a difference in the texture and radiance of my skin after the very first use. The ingredient list is just as fabulous as the actual product, and it contains clinically-proven ingredients like Barbary fig plant stem cells and D’Orientine S, a botanical active extracted from date seeds.

Ingredients: camellia sinensis (green tea) seed oil*, limnanthes alba (meadowfoam) seed oil, citrullus vulgaris (watermelon) seed oil, caprylic/capric triglyceride (and) phoenix dactylifera (date) seed extract, alaria (algae) esculenta extract, camellia sinensis (green tea) seed oil*, limnanthes alba (meadowfoam) seed oil, citrullus vulgaris (watermelon) seed oil, caprylic/capric triglyceride (and) phoenix dactylifera (date) seed extract, alaria (algae) esculenta extract, crambe maritima (blue seakale) leaf extract, opuntia ficus indica (barbary fig) cell extract, jasminum officinale (jasmine) extract, tocopherol*Ingredients from Organic Farmingcrambe maritima (blue seakale) leaf extract, opuntia ficus indica (barbary fig) cell extract, jasminum officinale (jasmine) extract, tocopherol*Ingredients from Organic Farming

H Is For Love Bara Balm: This is a soft, honey-coloured face balm that melts into the skin. Designed for dry skin types, the emollient balm protects skin from environmental assault. I have oily, acne-prone skin, and I found it a little too heavy for my skin type. I’ve come to realise that any product with shea butter breaks me out, and this was no different, unfortunately. Despite my experience, I’d highly recommend this product for dry, thirsty skin types.

Ingredients: Jojoba oil*, Macadamia nut oil*, Apricot kernel oil*, Pomegranate seed oil*, Shea butter*, Tamanu oil*, Beeswax, Sea buckthorn oil*, Mixed tocopherols (Non-GMO Vitamin E), Marshmallow root*, Calendula*, Chamomile*, Lemon balm*, Essential oils of: Chinese rose, Vanilla ‘total’ CO2, Frankincense, Lavender* *Ingredients from Organic Farming

H Is For Love Lip Glacé: This is a tinted lip balm in a universally-flattering rose shade. I love that its tint is derived from berries, roots and flowers. Unfortunately, I don’t wear any tinted products on my lips, and even though the tint is sheer, it is not sheer enough for me to feel comfortable wearing it. I wish Boxwalla made their makeup products optional because I’m sure they have clients who don’t wear makeup. Even though it didn’t work for me, I was amazed by the quality and scent of this product. I’m really impressed with H Is For love as a brand, and I’m looking forward to trying more of their products in the future. All their products feel really pure and potent.

Ingredients: Castor bean oil*, Olive oil*, Coconut oil*, Beeswax, Mixed tocopherols(Non-GMO Vitamin E), Alkanet root*, Elder Berries*, Calendula*, Bilberries*, Hibiscus*, Essential oils of: Peppermint*, Sea buckthorn CO2*, Vanilla ‘Total’ CO2*, Rosemary antioxidant CO2* *Ingredients from Organic Farming

Final Thoughts: As I’ve mentioned in previous reviews, Boxwalla is an amazing clean beauty subscription service, and I can’t wait to experience their upcoming boxes. Highly recommend.

Oh I really enjoyed this box! I haven’t used the Bara Balm yet…I’m waiting for colder winter months to dig into it. I do however love the One Love Organics Serum – its so lovely! Thanks for a great review Arjun 🙂
