The Little Alchemist Lime & White Tea Body Serum and Cacao & Banana Face Glow Revitalising Nutrient Mask Reviews

Little Alchemist review justaskarjun

A couple of weeks ago, I received the most wonderfully wrapped package from Natalie of The Little Alchemist, and I’ve been getting so many questions on Instagram about its contents! So here’s the big reveal: it contained two products I’ve been wanting to try for a while, their Lime & White Tea Body Serum and Cacao & Banana Face Glow Revitalising Nutrient Mask. I have been using both of these products regularly for the last two weeks, and here are my thoughts so far:

Lime & White Tea Body Serum: This is a super-light body oil that absorbs almost instantly. And it smells amazing. Unlike many natural body oils, it doesn’t smell like a jumble of essential oils, but more like a carefully-constructed fragrance. This is not surprising because Natalie is a perfumer and sells the matching perfume on her website. This particular scent is very uplifting and unisex, and it would be a great oil to share with your partner (of either sex). In addition to smelling amazing, it moisturises really well without leaving any sort of residue. The ingredients are high quality and better than what’s in many face oils. The pump makes it easy to use, and I’ve been using it everyday for the last two weeks without any body breakouts. $69 (AUD) for 100 ml. Click here to buy.

Cacao & Banana Face Glow Revitalising Nutrient Mask: This is a powder that you mix with a liquid to create a paste. It contains ivory clay and raw cacao, along with a number of superfoods like maca, acai chlorella and spirulina. What I like about it is that, despite being a clay mask, it doesn’t dry skin out and give it that tight, stretchy feeling after you rinse it off. I normally mix it with honey water (raw honey diluted in a few drops of water), and I find that this takes it to the next level. When mixed with a liquid, this smells (and looks) exactly like chocolate sauce, and I have to try my best to not lick it off my face. I find it gentler than the similarly textured May Lindstrom’s The Problem Solver. I think The Problem Solver will work better for you if you have robust, acne-prone skin, but this mask will be a better option if you have sensitive skin. Like The Problem Solver, this creates a bit of a mess in the bathroom, but the results are absolutely worth it. $65 (AUD) for 100ml. Click here to buy.

Final thoughts: I think I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but The Little Alchemist really makes some of the most effective, reasonably-priced green beauty products out there. Most of their products are available in trial sizes, so if you are new to the brand, start with one of their trial kits!
